You can make big time money focusing on cucumber alone ranging from N1million - N2million monthly. Though it can be a little expensive to start, but your profits will be exorbitant.
Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is a widely cultivated plant in the gourd family, Cucurbitaceae. It is a creeping vine that bears cucumiform fruits that are used as vegetables. There are three main varieties of cucumber: slicing, pickling, and seedless. Within these varieties, several cultivars have been created. In North America, the term "wild cucumber" refers to plants in the genera Echinocystis and Marah, but these are not closely related. The cucumber is originally from South Asia, but now grows on most continents. Many different types of cucumber are traded on the global market.
HEALTH BENEFITS OF CUCUMBER
Cucumbers are made up of 95 percent water, making them an ideal hydrating and cooling food
Cucumbers contain an anti-inflammatory flavonol called fisetin that appears to play an important role in your brain health
Cucumbers also contain polyphenols called lignans, which may help to lower your risk of breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate cancers
Cucumber extract helps reduce unwanted inflammation, in part by inhibiting the activity of pro-inflammatory enzymes (including cyclo-oxygenase 2, or COX-2)
Cucumbers are low in calories and high in fiber, which makes them useful for both weight loss and digestive health
MAKING YOUR LAND ORGANIC FRIENDLY
Cucumbers and other plants require fertile soil. Mix in compost and/or aged manure before planting to a depth of 2 inches and work into the soil 6 to 8 inches deep. Make sure that soil is moist and well-drained, not soggy. In other words, make sure your soil is fully fertilized.
PLANTING THE SEED

Just push two or three cucumber seeds an inch into the soil, spacing the plantings 18 to 36 inches apart. (Bush varieties will tolerate a closer spacing.) If the soil is moist and warm, the seedlings will pop out of the ground in a matter of days.
When properly cared for and kept free of disease, cucumbers produce long, slender fruit that range in length from 3 to 24 inches. It is ready for harvest in 50 to 70 days from planting, depending on how you plan to use them
If you plant cucumbers for slicing and eating fresh, plan on growing about 2 to 3 plants per person in your household; healthy plants generally grow 10, 6-ounce cucumbers per plant. Heirloom cucumber varieties generally produce less fruit, which is about 2 to 3 pounds of fruit per healthy plant.
CONCLUSION:
Nigerians can’t get enough of fruits and vegetables, so no matter how much you are able to produce, you won’t be able to satisfy Lagosians not to talk of the whole country or before you start thinking about exporting. Start small and grow big!
